Photography technology had reached a new high with the high-end DSLR technology. Nikon’s D3 was one of the first digital cameras to incorporate DSLR. Photographers were impressed with the files coming out of the camera that they said were better than any camera until date. The camera has no rival when it comes to capturing images at low light and high speed. The single biggest complain against DSLR was a couple of mirror design flaws and lack of any in-built sensor cleaning technology. However, these problems would soon be solved as is evident from the ‘movie mode’ patent that the inventor of DSLR has attained. The Japanese inventor of DSLR, Hiroshi Terada has reengineered DSLR to incorporate among others an improved mirror design. The new designed mirror would allow 70% of light to pass through it to be captured by the camera’s primary sensor while reflecting 30% of light that could be used for continuous AF. Live views while shooting stills would also be possible with the new mirror.
