New Carbon Laptops from Asus
Asus has launched a carbon-fashioned edition of its W1 laptops. What is special about these laptops is that it is not just the lid of the laptop that uses the material, like in the Intel suede laptops recently launched, but the entire framework of the laptop is made of carbon.

The scientific reason given behind the use of carbon is that it protects against electronic radiation, although the main motive behind designing such a laptop is more to do with art rather than science.
The W1 has got a 15.4in wide screen with WSXGA resolution (1680x1050 pixels), a Pentium M-750 processor and a 100GB hard disk drive. It also has a 128MB ATI Radeon X700 graphics chip, a DVD Super Multi Drive, 5 speakers and a built-in analogue-digital TV tuner. The laptop also supports Wi-fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0, and a host of USB 2.0 and Firewire connections.
You can get one of these carbony designed laptops in the coming week in a few selected stores in London.
The limited edition premium laptops from Asus are priced at £1400.
