The Nintendo Entertainment System was a gaming revolution that gave new life to the fading gaming market in the US and across the globe back in the '80s. Sixty-two million of these units were sold by Nintendo and as you would expect, quite a few of them have been left behind in time. People have found funny and odd ways of using them in the past. But a Hone Theater PC mod is something of a novelty and that is exactly what Finnish modder Ana Koo (aka Ana-5000) has accomplished.

His white NES HTPC mod is unique both in idea and in design. The HTPC mod runs now on an Asus AT3IONT-I Deluxe motherboard with an Intel Atom 330 Dual core processor and a 120Gb hard drive that powers Windows XP within. It also comes with two working NES controller ports on the front bezel, power and rest buttons and a LED indicator to show the power status.

It apparently can still play NES games using the pad that came along with the original NES and it also sports integrated 802.11b/g/n wireless and Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity. The paint job on the mod looks cool with a custom sticker going on top for added aesthetics. All in all, the end job seems pretty decent and also very professional.
The mod looks very clean and complete with no rough edges or loose stuff flying around like in the case of many other mods. Thumbs-up on this one for Ana!
