NECA's action figures gets AVP show up-and-running
Haven't really been to theaters lately, but one movie that has gotten me excited is Avs.P: Requiem. That's gotta be some serious gore. And to take the excitement to all new level I've got just the thing for you!
NECA has released its first two figures of the series and believe you me they're as true replicas as you could possibly have hoped for. Now I know the millions of fans of the series set real high standards but I tell you again, these are downright amazing.
First up is the PredAlien Hybrid. Yes the debuting PredAlien is presented in all its plastic glory. NECA's boys have done some serious work on this. The detailing, the proportions, the paint; all's just perfect. Even the transparent dome with the skull is captured wonderfully. The figure is movable at jaw, neck, shoulders, biceps, wrists, hips, and thighs (whew, that's it!). And what would be the figure be without the creepy (but useful) tail? Well, that's accounted for as well. And the dreadlocks too. Yes the dreadlocks made of individual rubber pieces!
Then the other party up against the Predator is the Alien Warrior (my personal favorite). Again like the former figure, this one is replete with great articulation in a metallic grey paint. The amount of work that has been put into the jaws alone is really freakin awesome! Both the figurines stand at a 7' scale but the warrior tops the Predator, measuring at 8 � inch tall. Again the ball & socket neck, rib cage and thighs and articulation at shoulders, bicep cuts, elbows, wrists, thigh cuts, knees, ankles, jaw, and bendy tail. The tail on alien comes in real handy, and unlike the Predator, it does away with the need to use the balancing stands that are included in the package.
The only problem is that Predator isn't shipped till February, so can't get the gore running till then. But the effort that has gone into these babies makes the worth that bit rewarding. Till then be content with the movie and the images in the gallery. Adios!
