NEC’s Android-based LifeTouch tablet as seen in a video demo

When we first saw the LifeTouch from NEC, we were impressed by its simple (800x480) 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, Android 2.1 operating system, ARM Cortex A8 processor, GPS and remarkable 8 hours of battery life. But with this video demo that shows the tablet’s user interface and some apps running on it, we are all floored and wish to try it to know it for ourselves. While we learn that the tablet is scheduled to release in Japan in October, we also read that “the ‘Cloud Communicator’ won’t be sold directly to end customers but rather to businesses that can then provide it to their clients."
