NASA’s new ‘Supersonic’ jet would be a meaner ‘Green Machine’

Supersonic jets have been around hovering in the test grounds, but their excessive fuel consumption is what’s kept them off the main grid. Still, NASA is surely all geared to have supersonic jets as the new age of commercial flying. A reason, NASA has joined hands with Lockheed Martin to develop a greener and meaner supersonic jet we’ll all love. Christened the Supersonic Green Machine, this new and re-thought jet is scheduled to feature an inverted-V wing on the tail of the craft, which would reduce sounds of the sonic boom and provide better fuel efficiency as the jet pierces past the sound barrier.
