Today, the world saw the first official video of Skyray 48. Remote Controlled 8.5% scale model of X-48B Blended Wing Body with 21-foot wingspan turned out to be the largest RC model in the world. Skyray 48 is a prototype made by NASA that could be a future of commercial aviation. Its design has been derived from X-48B and thus it enjoys being one with increased carrying capacity with better speeds, low power consumption and less emissions. Following 10-minute video shows the flight of Skyray 48, this RC plane first met with air last year when it took off from NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, in California.
