It’ll be hard to believe for all those who know that how nanoparticles are used in the production of paints and tennis racquets that these magic particles can prove to be very effective cooling agents too.
If you want to make your air conditioner to be more effective just add a few billion nanoparticles to it. The researchers at the University of Leeds, UK, have incorporated nanotechnology to the air conditioning system and making it 400 per cent more effective than any other liquid by adding multi-walled carbon nanotubes to water.
Nanotechnology have opened a plethora of options in the field of cooling appliances such as computer chips and even brain by applying ‘nanofluid’ to restrict damage caused to brain cells due to restricted blood flow during an accident.
