Wheelchair users have Rex robotic exoskeleton and the like as new age replacement. Given the amount of wheelchair users around the globe however, there is a major chunk which cannot afford such equipment. Though, Vehicle Production Group’s MV-1 too isn’t for all with its $40,000 price tag. But then this is just a wheelchair accessible car designed from the ground up to make traveling simpler for the disabled.

MV-1 is one of its kind car designed for wheelchair accessibility. The five-feet tall vehicle has 36-inch side door opening and access ramp which allow an easy push-in of a wheelchair. The car to make space for the wheelchair has an extra space between the front seat and the back seat. Explain where the wheelchair is stationed inside the MV-1, Dave Schembri, the CEO for Vehicle Production Group said,
Our vehicle, you drive up the ramp, and you turn right and immediately you're sitting in the prime seat of the vehicle which is shotgun next to the driver.
MV-1 fitted with features to provide safe and comfortable ride to not only the wheelchair users but also the others, for its green credentials it fitted with a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling system.
