Geometric Informatics new in for Music videos, adios cameras

Geometric Informatics is the latest technology around with many video directors seeking to employ it in their videos. This technology employs newly discovered algorithms, which are derived and developed from the latest theories in geometrical classification. The technique includes advanced computer graphics, pattern recognition and 3D geometry processing. The technology is not limited to biometric and biosecurity applications but also in the database industry, computer graphics and in medicine. Insiders feel this could prove to be extremely useful in places where camera usage is impractical. The other new technology, which also seems to be in demand among many professionals, is the Velodyne’s Lidar. It makes use of 3 dimensional information of a large environment. Calibration, sensor fusion, long durations etc are not required and only distance and intensity of the object is considered. It was originally designed for the purposes of autonomous vehicle developers and for mapping applications.

Radiohead are known for their unconventional music and their avant-garde ideas, which, of course need unconventional videos. For the video of their latest single 'House of Cards' from the album 'In Rainbows' Radiohead have used Geometric Informatics and the Velodyne Lidar. A structured light captured 3 dimensional images of Thom Yorke (the lead singer), the female lead and the extras. The Velodyne Lidar system used multiple lasers and captured the mise-en-scene. Technology can sometimes be used in the most improbable manners, just as Yorke did.
