Portable music players recently received that trust of resumption when Apple released the new iPod Touch. Living on the approach, Samsung is expected to release a new Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) at CES 2011. The iPod Touch rival of sorts, the Galaxy Player is said to feature 480x800 resolution 4-inch touchscreen Super Clean LCD display and will run Android 2.2 Froyo. The music player could be fitted in with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and 8GB, 16GB or 32GB storage, while it would have a 3.2MP rear camera and front VGA camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Player would, with the new features it possesses, be a great gadget for all the audiophiles around, especially if you love all things Android and have that dislike for Apple.

There’s no word on the price of the Galaxy Player, which is scheduled to be shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas 2011,
