We’ve been accustomed to hearing of the end of HDD, but there are manufacturers there who still rest faith in the drives - symbolized to perfection by the officially launched MSI U115, the first hybrid netbook, which features both SSD and HDD. MSI has stuffed the U115 with its Exclusive Hybrid Storage Technology that helps the netbook operate on both SSD and HDD drives while capably enjoying features of both.

The MSI U115 supports a 1024x 600 resolution on a modest 10-inch screen. Stuffed with a 1.60GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and a 2MP web cam , the U115, functions primarily with 8GB or 16GB SSD for quicker process and less power consumption, while a 120GB or 160GB HDD is reserved for storage. Making claims of longer battery life and faster OS, the netbook also features “Eco Mode” to temporarily disconnect the HDD for efficiency and power consumption. When can we get this and for what price? Even we are guessing it all despite the revealed information.
