Only yesterday we saw Sony launch one brilliant Vaio model which seemed pretty cool and now we have MSI offering a deal that sounds equally good when it comes to modern fancy stuff. Notebooks are really growing in terms of variety and to be honest, it gets a bit confusing nowadays when you go out to get one (Maybe not for all, but it did for me). Anyway, MSI launched the GX620 which uses the brand new ECO Engine, the outstanding and unique power saving function by MSI Notebook, as the power management function to extend the battery running time while performing different tasks.

The technology is unique and offers various wonderful options at the touch of a button. Touch the ECO quick launch touch sensor repeatedly to switch between the 5 different modes – Gaming mode, Movie mode, Presentation mode, Office mode, and Turbo Battery mode while performing game applications, playing multimedia applications, performing presentation applications, dealing with office documentation tasks, or looking to minimize battery consumption. Wow! That is a pretty long list of stuff at your disposal with touch of one button and I’m sure it is a lot more fun operating it than writing all that.

GX620 has a 15.4” LCD monitor which is pretty much mandatory these days if you want that viewing and gaming experience. It weighs in at 2.7 Kg and that is not bad for a laptop outside the HP and the Apple domain. With a memory of 4GB and a back up of an hour or two (not much more than that with 6Li-ion battery back up) this sounds like a good package. The GX620 features the latest Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology, which uses Intel Core2 Duo processor and Intel PM45 Express Chipset. A fine package as a whole though the price and the actual performance will matter a lot. Let’s see how big a hit this will be for MSI.
