MSI debuts USB 3.0-ready motherboard and 3D display laptop

To cater to the rush of USB 3.0 gadgetry, MSI has entered with P55-GD85, a USB 3.0-ready motherboard. Besides the unique superspeed USB 3.0 protocols, the motherboard supports 32nm LGA1156-based Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors. Being equipped with Marvell and NEC chips, the motherboard caters well to 6Gb/s SATA drives. Along with the revolutionary motherboard, MSI also brought an X-Slim X420 notebook to the fore. Featuring a 14-inch 3D display with a dual-core processor, ATI's Mobility Radeon HD 5430 and 1GB DDR3 VRAM, the ultra-thin 1.88kg notebook is based on the MSI's exclusive 3D Boost Technology, which lets the user switch from high-performance display mode to a power saving mode on a click of a button.
