MSI has become a force to reckon with for Nvidia. MSI, in a process to further intensify the cold war in the cyber-world, has introduced a new video card, the R4890 Cyclone SOC. Including an ATI’s 1GHz HD 4890 core with 800 stream processors, the video card has a large 10cm fan with four 8mm heatpipes embedded for cooling. Housing 1GB of GDDR5 256-bit memory, the R4890 Cyclone also includes a Solid State Chock to minimize noise, to make overclocking much stable and help the video card last longer i.e. as long as 200 years at regular 65-degree operating temperatures. There isn’t a word on the pricing and availability yet, but for other features we hear that the R4890 Cyclone has a dual-link DVI output, HDMI, DVI-to-VGA adapter.
