Moonbell creates musical notes from lunar topography
Space exploration is being tapped with all possible might by scientists. Moon has been the prime concern and extending the line of peculiarity to get something better from the Earth’s satellite, Japanese satellite KAGUYA has been orbiting the moon obtaining data pertaining to the geological evolution and topography of the Moon. To do it more creatively, the KAGUYA is a sensory based satellite that interprets data into sound giving birth to the Moonbell - a MIDI player that generates music based upon the topographic layout of the Moon obtained by the KAGUYA.

Moonbell uses two modes to playback music, Orbit play and the Free Scratch. While Orbit play is musical sound created on the layout of the moon based on the satellite’s orbital path, the Free Scratch lets us lets us draw lines across the moon surface creating music from it.
