Italy is all about grace and even when the country chooses to adapt to something modern, that new inception has to be superfluous and full of splendour, complimenting the character of the country. Trains are a popular way to commute throughout Europe and Italy too fits in that bracket where the entire country is connected domestically and internationally through Trenitalias’ smart network. But, now the time has come where a company with a rare modern approach is all set to challenge Trenitalias’ supremacy in an assistance attempt where the country wants to develop the entire network into a modern and hi-tech passenger rail system gratifying the improved European rail standards. Something that would see them getting integrated to the German, French and the Spanish networks.

The process would thus see Nuovo Transporto Viaggiatori (NTV) introducing 25 stylized, red coloured, 11 carriages affixed, and 460 seater passenger trains running at 360 km/hour. This would hopefully happen in a short span of time-probably 2011, which would mean that Trenitalia would have to up the ante’ in terms of development to meet the tough challenge put up by NTV. Nonetheless, as far as the railway network is concerned, it would only stand to gain even if both these entities compete fiercely with heavy investment.
