Mobile Phones trapping us or liberating our lives?
Believe it or not, mobile today reflect self image and social status. The Age here has a very interesting article baring the truth that mobile phones have become e-generation's best friend and a trap too. If you're no holding one, you're definitely a social outcast. The bug has bitten deep, especially the teenagers, who constantly hang on talking and texting declaring that yes, they're a part of the esteemed loop and don't deserve to be excluded.

As per James Katz, director of the Centre for Mobile Communication Studies at the Rutgers University in the US, about 90 per cent of young people admit they have faked a call. The reasons are many, some fake to show off that they're not alone, some dot it to get out of an embarrassing situation or even more avoid you and what not. For youngsters mobile phone has kicked off every other gadget and of course all amenities of life. Owing a mobile phone reflects that you're socially connected, independent and confident; at least this is what they think.
But, we just can't ignore the other side of the coin where mobile phone acts as an incredible communication tool that has changed our lives especially in the age of information. Its simple pros and cons issue associated with everything living and dead. Which way do you see?
