Mobile phone synced with interactive table to clinch a new poker face

If you are one of those poker players who would prefer to have cards laid out on your mobile phone, and would fancy using the phone to play instead of interacting with the table – then this multi-touch table that combines mobile phones with its surface is what you’d been looking for. Designed by students at the University of Duisburg, this novel concept allows the users to either directly play poker by interacting with the multi-touch table, or by tilting, turning and shaking the cell phone. This innovative project translates useful gestures to sync mobile phone with tabletop surface and thus setup a game of digital card on an interactive table. Follow the jump to see a video demo.
