Off and on Mitsubishi has something really exciting to deliver, which is good enough to send us into a shell of disbelief. This time the manufacturer has us gripped with the 155-inch OLED display that they exhibited at the CEATEC JAPAN 2009. Having done this exceptionally large display to sheer perfection, Mitsubishi believes displays having a high resolution can be resurrected at minimum cost – this in comparison with the LED displays we have.

The 155-inch display has been done in combination of 720 units composed of four OLED panels, where each OLED panel measures 96 x 96mm and has 256 pixels. Presenting brightness to about three to four times higher than those of normal LCD TVs and pixel pitch of about 3mm, Mitsubishi large-size display using organic EL light emitting devices is a new way in for TV technology.
