Mitsubishi displays walk-in panoramic display system
The image above is a typical walk-in panoramic display system from Mitsubishi Electric, where the high resolution images are displayed in such way that they can create an impression of a virtual world for the viewers.

Based on Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology, the display system consists of an array of 17 pairs of 67 inch. The real-projection displays are harmonized to each other building a 340 degree circle around the viewer. The projector is 2 meter tall. It comes with 27 million resolution pixels.
The price of the projector is something around $1.3 million. It would be available next year. However, the company is tight-lipped regarding the target customers of this high tech display system. As it seems, the display may be used for presentations at museums and traffic simulations.
