MIT’s Software app brings supercomputing prowess to your smartphone
There are many complicated phenomenon out there, from of which may be know but the particulars may not be evident. Such are cases in which supercomputer have to be used to find out the answers. How convenient would it be if our smartphone could provide solutions with supercomputer efficiency? Thinking? Well, a team of researchers from MIT have developed an application which runs on a smartphone and allows it to approximate in seconds computations which even a supercomputer would take longer to figure.
The software app which requires its own mathematical models to solve problems at hand is available for download with nine preloaded models. This app isn’t a replacement for supercomputer but is in conjunction with supercomputing, which is required to develop the models used by the software. The app lets users perform complicated calculations in the field and could also find place in vehicles for better control systems and robots for better thought and functioning.
