Now, I didn’t think we needed robotic eyes to see something that was not visible to the naked eye. But the creators of this robotic eye, dubbed the Miruko, sure have a different take. Thus, the Miruko - a sleeve worn eyeball-shaped robot is born.
Developed with a built-in camera and Wi-Fi, the Miruko augments human perception and sensing an object not obvious to the human eye reacts to it. The wearable robotic eye is presently being demonstrated as an interface for a virtual monster-hunting game. Catch the video of the bot in action after the jump.
This game being played in the real world environment is aided well by the Miruko, which senses the virtual monsters, and following the robots fixed gaze the player is assisted to close on the monster and capture it over the iPhone camera.
