Minox PX3D compact camera promises glasses-free 3D images

We’d appreciate all things 3D, at least at this point in time when life is catching pace with this growing technological trend. To keep us on the tenterhooks, Minox in collaboration with 3D-Competence has got 3D finesse to its newly shown of PX3D compact camera. Only a concept now, the camera with four vertical lenses will let users view 3D images glasses-free. The lenses lined in one on top of the other are 5 megapixels each and have 9mm focal length, though each of them have a different prospective there’s no zoom of video capability to compliment just yet.

The PX3D camera users will get a choice to pick out the final single, merged image they wont to finally use out of the four clicked. These created 3D images will be saved in AVI files and would be viewable without 3D glasses. Different modules here will have different individual exposures and focal points, while the left over non-3D images can be separately saved as JPEG or merged in for one image. A production model of the PX3D is expected sometime next year for about $680.
