If you consider any modern electronic gadget, they are always cluttered with buttons and an array of extra stuff that you don’t need. The Mini Dolmen radio is the best FM radio that has ever been developed. It’s just a simple 5″ wide FM radio with no extra stuff. So no gimmicks and most importantly, no extra buttons.
No extra buttons mean no extra features. But, who cares? The basic function works and that’s all it matters. I think a radio should be stripped of any extra features like the clock, alarm, etc. Personally, I don’t want any extra functions on the radio.
Even though the radio is free of any clutter, I still think the mini Dolmen is a little pricy. For a simple small radio like that the manufacturer is charging about 50 dollars. With th price tag, you get a telescopic antenna, receive AM/FM channel and get the first batch of 2 AA batteries with the package.
The radios are offered in a variety of colors. They range from lime-yellow to pink. It seems like the customer range constitute mostly two categories. One of them includes the older group and the other probably includes ladies. However, this is just a speculation. I am saying this because, the colors are very girl friendly. Also, the fact that there aren’t a whole lot of complex functions means that these are geared for the not so technical people.
