Military developing wearable brain scanners to treated wartime head injuries

Posted By: Bharat BhushanSharma | Jan 15 2010

Brain scanners to nab suspects on the airports may not be as important as having brain scanners to help treat military personal suffering with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Thus, in order to put in place better ways to diagnose, treat and prevent wartime brain injuries, US Military is expected to be developing a portable, all weather-resistant brain-scanning device. The device in formation would be a brain monitor, which would help monitor and identify anxiety, depression and other similar neurological markers for PTSD, besides recognizing brain active in respect to memory, analytic ability and reaction time. The device seems to be a real potential entrant, this once made could definitely find place beyond boarders.
