MIDI playable Air Drum Set comes with no drums at all

Once you get settled after the 'are you kidding' moment, yes, this is wholeheartedly true. Modder Maayan Migdal has ingeniously contrived an electronic drum kit with no drums at all! Though, utilizing a simplistic MIDI device and an Arduino system, these 'Air Drums' will certainly allow you to blaze your way to glory, and that too in the middle of your living room.

The whole fascinating mechanism can be broken down into simpler components. Firstly, the drums sticks were customized from a pair of garden rakes, by imposing a myriad of electronic circuitry and USB cables on them. The left stick was equipped with a single accelerometer for hi-hat (cymbal) hits, while the right stick was incorporated with a pair of the modules, to constitute snare and crash symbol strikes. And wait! There's more, as the designer has obviously not forgotten about the bass. For this ubiquitous musical component, he had used two well fitting sandals (yes, you have read that right) with proper sensors and USB ports inserted in them. Again, the left sandal is furnished with an accelerometer to trigger bass drum hits, while the right sandal is equipped with a light sensor to mimic the effect of hi-hat pedal. The final result is an awesome setup that scores high on functionality and novelty alike.
