Let us prepare for yet another teaser campaign, as Microsoft will soon be dropping in a new mini-Tablet PC. Apparently, the UMPC was just the tip of the iceberg and the new Haiku will dawn within a few years.

Otto Berkes, GM, Microsoft’s Ultra Mobile PC operations, expect the new baby about the size of a paperback book to hit for close to $500. As origami failed to deliver as per consumer expectations, perhaps, the giant is planning to soothe its followers with a different sugar coated pill. However, time will tell how far it will succeed, with UMPC market growing at a much faster pace, especially when other players too are introducing their high-end ultra-mobile computers, and the origami still not looking a fresh piece of cake with technical snags and high pricing. Anyway, we are excited.
