Microsoft to line up Windows 8 for a 2012 release

With Windows 7 becoming the fastest selling operating system in the world with 240 million licenses clinched within year of its release, Microsoft is preparing to line up Windows 8 in the next couple of years, probably by 2012. Certain bits which have been making rounds about the new OS include 128-bit Windows 8 support, faster boot-up time, and a Windows 8 App Store from Microsoft is almost inevitable. It is also believed that Windows 8 would be the first Microsoft OS to support face detection and recognition out-of-the box.
