Microsoft rumored to update Xbox 360 to 3D content

Microsoft is rumored to be working on a possibility to include 3D content in its Xbox 360 game console. It is complete reversal of the statement by Microsoft last year when they said, they had no interest in encouraging developers to engage in 3D content for the Xbox 360, thought they affirmed that the Xbox 360 did have the capability to support 3D. Microsoft found itself far behind in the race of 3D applications, where Sony is at the pinnacle, but Microsoft has finally planned to come into 3D picture and will soon update 3D content on Xbox 360.

Microsoft has assured its customers that they would bring all the capabilities to run 3D games in the Xbox 360. 3D is mainstream standard in every living room today, thus Microsoft wishes to creep into the picture of 3D. It has been confirmed that games including Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3 and Halo: Anniversary will surely be integrated in 3D mode. It’s time now when people can actually bet on 3D technology, but for sure the quality of gaming won’t matter if the hardware used is updated and strong enough to deliver 3D.
