Microsoft Office RoundTable: A cheap solution for video conferencing
Microsoft Office RoundTable is a table top device which can be the answer to the costly yet necessary video and voice conferencing.
The device is slated for the release in mid-2007 and is being extensively tested in Microsoft facilities in China, India, and Redmond.
The device can display a 360degree side by side view of all those who are present in the meeting. Further the system can put the spotlight on the person who is talking and thus giving that individual a prominence.
This device works in conjunction with Office Communications 2007 and Office Live Meeting. The device also has storage options so that you can store the conferences so that they can be viewed later.
The RoundTable which is expected to hit the market in 2007 would be priced around $3000.
