Till now desktop computers meant those computers that have a bulky monitor and a CPU cabinet lying below the desk. Microsoft wanted to change the meaning of desktop computers and have released a unique computer known as ‘Surface’.
The Surface is truly a desktop computer, which features a touch screen controlled by the movements of the hands. The system also features the simplest UI ever seen on a computer. Apart from moving their hands on the touchscreen users can also place devices such as a digital camera on top of the computer and the system will automatically recognize it by scanning its barcode. After scanning the barcode the system can also take the appropriate action, like downloading your pictures.
The system has just been released and companies are already pouncing on it. The system is seen as something that should be useful in every application area like hotels and restaurants.
‘Surface’, which is even easier to use than a simple PC will also be loved by people who want to use a computer that does not have a mouse and a keyboard. Mass production of this amazing machine will also reduce its cost making it favorable for home use.
