Microsoft CEO shows the lucrative HP Slate tablet PC

[CES 2010 preview]. It’s not the courier, possibly what we all were anxiously waiting for, but it’s still quite appealing. Dubbed the HP Slate, it is the new tablet PC from Hewlett-Packard which Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer showed off in his opening keynote at CES. Running the new Windows 7 Operating System, the HP Slate personal computer is a whole new entertainment device that’ll set perfect standards for reading and web surfing on the go. The HP Slate could be here anytime in 2010, but with Apple to make announcement of its own tablet in the last week of the month, who knows, HP hurries on their release to make us used to something as lucrative as the Slate. Images of the prototype tablet are here, and you can hit the jump for more.
