I hope when I was in school there should have been some gadgets like this. May be I am not as lucky as folks in Mexico who are currently receiving all the education using enormous touch-sensitive flatscreen displays called Enciclomedia.

The system can house text of 14 full books that meets the curriculum demand of the tots in 5th and 6th grade.
The system contains videos of human anatomy, historical scenes, animated language interactions and more can be shown.
Children can answer questions by touching the screen and dragging the object in question. They are able to electronically assemble the human body by dragging organs and other parts to the respective position.
I have always believed that using electronic Medias for education can instill a game factor in studies making it interesting to study and surely such hi-tech classrooms can yield better professionals.
The complete system costs around $5,000 including the screen and the computer. Currently the project is funded by the Mexican government and 165,000 classrooms across the country have the system. Such systems are also being constructed from US, China and India.
