TeMo is the perfect specimen of the highly-deceptive breed of techno-wizardry, one that appears calm on the surface but hides a whole world of technological brilliance in its depth. Its an internet connected robot made using Lego blocks. Though it appears much similar to those make-it-yourself toys for children, it is packed with features that would make other internet robots run for cover. Built by Jatinderjit Singh of Embysis, this tele-operated mobile internet robot relies on the integrated Nokia 6233 cell phone and connects to the internet using mobile packet data services. The robot is controlled using an Ajax based webpage and incorporates a 16 bit Microchip microcontroller which recieves command via infrared from the webserver running on the cell phone.

Besides moving around and doing simple tasks, TeMo is also capable of sending images to the user terminal. The use of mobile packet data provides it a clear edge over the other robots that use WiFi or internet-enabled PC, thereby increasing the scope of mobility for the robot.
