Geisha are synonymous with exotic Japanese dance and classical music. Legendary entertainers that they are, Geisha never cease to amaze tourists visiting the ‘land of the rising sun’. However, this time around, the ‘flesh and blood’ will be replaced by acrylic and electronic chips. In typical artful fashion, the ‘Slogeisha’, a robotic Geisha, would entertain visitors at the ‘Tokyo Plastic - King of the Monsters’ Show, which will be held on April 26 at Toy Tokyo’s Gallery Showroom NYC. Standing 12 inches tall, the robot is a custom Tokyo Plastic Kokeshi. With a mirrored eye, cute moveable arms, and yellow-green fading paint visage, the slobot will surely give the prettier human Geisha a run for their money. Visit the gallery for more pictures.
