A window cleaner’s job is perhaps one of the most dangerous professions in the world. I am sure most of you would concur. So, we believe a machine should be used as an alternative to cut the risks and ratchet up the efficiency. Pictor, therefore, should be a natural choice, with its amazing climbing and cleaning abilities. The robot has been specifically designed for ‘faster, safer and more efficient’ cleaning and painting jobs. And, Pictor is quite clinical in its approach too. It readies the wall by running a cleaning laser over it and then uses an airless nozzle to paint the wall without an atomized spray, thereby leaving the wall and its surroundings spotlessly clean. The robot’s feet are coated with a nano surface, thus enabling it to scale any building with ease. Pictor, the service robot, uses a laser scanner, color sensor and a camera to decide where to position itself and run the paint machine. It is powered by fuel cells and carries a color tank.
