Massive LEGO models of Beijing Olympics
Hong Kong based LEGO user group has created a miniature Beijing Olympics model. The model is quite extensive and includes Bird Nest (Beijing Olympic Stadium), Water Cube (a swimming complex), the sports village, equestrianism and Ancient Greek buildings were built to reflect the real constructions that have taken place at the venue in Beijing. The model employs 30,000 Lego bricks and 4500 cutesy figures. The HongKong based group seems to have created this model keeping in mind the negative publicity that the Chinese government has received due to the Tibetan issue. The models have added to the celebration spirit of sports fans and also that of LEGO fans. The hard work surely has resulted in one of the most massive LEGO models ever built.
