Marvell surprises the best with its sub-$100 tablet PC

Posted By: Bharat BhushanSharma | Mar 20 2010

Now, when Apple iPad and the HP Slate don’t wish to sell for less, something with only a $99 price tag making the cut into the same genre is anything but a revelation. Chip maker Marvell has done the obscure with a thud. It showed off to the gaping world a prototype tablet, that’ll offer web access and e-book facility on a 1080p full high-definition display along with music playing abilities Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity to count a few. Targeted at students to begin with, the Moby, as they call the PC will be powered by Marvell’s ARMADA 600 series of application processors, and would be good to support full Adobe Flash and run either Android or the Windows Phone 7 OS. Along with the technical specifications, Marvell has also kept the release date a secret for now.
