Artist Mike Libby finds interest in dissolving natural insects with man made function. The Insect lab is now displaying some of his new artistic designs, which this time hunted some new insects like scorpion, grasshoppers, praying Mantis, and of course, his all time favorite beetles. Some unique specimens available for sale, hold prices tags and are as follows: 5′ x 8′ Scorpion for $850, 4.5″ Flower Beetle for $600, 5″ Rhino Beetle for $650, 5′ Grasshopper for $900 and a playing Mantis for $850.
Each of them includes steel and brass gears, parts and springs and are displayed in 6′ glass dome. You can get their pictures in the gallery below. To sum up, the price tags tell, how much fine hand one needs to have in order to add antique watch parts and electronic components into real insect figures.
