Mamiya1954 up on ebay: Shoot for that drop-dead pose!
Some of us are doomed to never lay our hands on a weapon legally. So we go out and indulge in shooting some pictures instead; only not quite the same thing, not by a long shot. Mamiya created way back in 1954 is shaped like a pistol and is likely to provide more solace to our troubled souls.

This pistol camera is named after its creator company, Mamiya from Japan. Its original purpose is as weird as its shape: it was intended for training policemen. It captures half-size images on a 35mm film. The lens on this pistol camera is a fixed-focus 45mm. No high-end stuff for crazy photographers but considering only 250 of these were made and that too not for public, laying hands on these is prized nonetheless.
One of these is up for auction on ebay and can be yours for a mere 25 grand dollars. And you’ve got 2 days for doing so since the bidding ends on 23rd January. Now this might be a relic of an age gone by but the design is amazingly cool to date.
