Malicious app(s) raising havoc on Windows Mobile!
A group of unknown hackers are at the top of their game, giving Windows Mobile users sleepless nights. Apparently, these hackers have found a way to infect Windows Mobile apps with highly malicious content. Apps that have been found wanting in this hack-attack include 3D Anti-Terrorist game, PDA Poker Art, and Codec pack for Windows Mobile 1.0. If you mistakenly download any of these apps infected with malicious code, then you’ll have your phone bill $50-$100 heavier!

Once you run the app, it sets into action dialing to unknown premium-rate numbers in Somalia, South Pole, Italy, and other countries. You’ll only realize about it, once you see the hefty phone bill at the end of the billing cycle! Surprisingly these apps have been infected and are being distributed on major download websites like DoDownload, GearDownload, and Software112.
Microsoft is investigating into the issue and will soon address the precautionary measures to take in order to render the virus impotent. You should stay away from downloading the apps mentioned above, or in my view, avoid downloading any apps for you Windows Mobile till updates come. For now, you can refer to Microsoft protection guide.
