Magical music with the spiritual Buddha machine

If you have ever strolled around a Buddhist temple somewhere in Asia, you must have probably experienced the peaceful chanting sound that blends in with the environs. This is the basic concept behind the Buddha machine. The Buddha Machine from Chinese manufacturer FM3 looks like a cheap transistor radio but, as soon as you turn it on, it starts generating ambient music.

It's a little plastic box that plays Drones music. FM3 created nine drones, varying from two seconds to 42 seconds, which repeat incessantly in the listener's ear until the track is switched to the next drone. Powered by AA batteries, the Buddha machine has a built-in speaker and it also comes with a headphone jack for more personal meditation. It feels like the sounds are emanating from inside the temple. You can take it as an pre-loaded iPod that comes cheap for a few bucks. You can check out the flash demo here. Simply listen to it and you can feel like being in a Buddhist monastery.
