Mac rejoice: OCZ to offer new SSD for Apple notebooks
OCZ has launched a new range of Solid State Drives dedicated to Mac users. Tested in the Apple labs, the OCZ Vertex series Mac Edition drives are also accompanied by new line of RAM, and are true upgrades for the expensive ones from Apple, in order to enhance productivity and performance of the Mac notebooks. The 2.5-inch OCZ SSDs run at read and write speeds of 240MB/s and 170MB/s; being efficient and quick the drives will be available in 30, 60, 120 and 250GB capacities. The OCZ RAM however, will be available in DDR2 and DDR3 models, which’ll be provided in 2GB capacity either individually or in pairs. OCZ is expected to provide customers with service support and warranty for the drives, but we have no word on their pricing and availability yet.
