But the Mac OS X update being a heavy file has a size of almost 4GB. That means you need to have a high-speed Internet connection to smoothly grab Mac OS X Lion. So what if you don’t have a better connection? Apple itself has the solution. The company recommended its users to come to its stores across the country to use Wi-Fi connectivity of its stores to download Lion. It is a great idea, indeed.

Apple officials will also assist customers who face trouble in downloading the update. But what about the users who have Mac desktop PCs? Apple’s solution is only applicable for Mac laptop and netbook users. For such users, Apple has announced USB sticks with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Apple is expected to roll out the thumb drives with the software update by the end of August this year. However, Mac users will have to wait until then to grab the software update that offers more than 250 new features. The USB stick will be priced at $69.99.

The price is more than two times higher than the digital version of Lion. Analysts are stunned about the price of the USB stick. A USB stick of 4GB capacity just costs around $20. Apple launched its Lion update with new features, such as FaceTime, AirDrop, multi-touch gesture, full-screen apps and many more. The new software will sure attract millions of buyers.
