The M80 Stiletto was launched in February for the US Navy Special Forces. With a unique ‘Double M’ shaped hull design and 80 feet long composite hull the ship hits 50 knots or 60 mph without bothering the waves; courtesy: four 1,650-horsepower Caterpillar engines. The special design completely eliminates the damage done by waves and remains stable in rough waters. The carbon fiber ship, costing $12.5 million, gives it’s best even in shallow waters.

The M80 Stiletto project is funded by the Office of Force Transformation through Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division.
