m • pad: A smart and efficient tablet PC concept

m • pad is a fresh concept for a tablet PC with ultimate use of touch capability. The device is designed by German developer Volker Hübner with special focus on the requirements of professional designers and developers. m • pad tablet certainly comprises of several features that indeed give meaning for its exclusive potential as a tablet for mobile designing and developing purposes. For this, the device first of all joins together features of intuitive multitouch capability, a pressure sensitive stylus and multiple fixed buttons.

m • pad will sport a 15.6-inch OLED display and many other common features of a tablet. However, the device will be known for its nine fixed buttons in one end of the front panel, which can be easily managed with left hands while users will be working on the touchscreen with the right hand. Fixed buttons of the device stand for the functions of computer keys such as Alt, Ctrl, Escape, Space, Shift, etc. However, two of those keys perform with e-link display, meaning that 24 short-cuts can be assigned based on the software running on the device.

In fact, m• pad makes use of all popular input options unlike other tablet PCs in the market. Normally, tablet PCs used to have a touchscreen to handle the entire functioning of the device. m • pad may open a new horizon in the tablet world. Further, the device highlights USB ports, Ethernet, firewire and special docks to tether with external keyboards and mice helping large scale designers and developers abundantly.
