M-Audio's Torq Xponent is one sweet looking gadget!

Am I a DJ? Nope. Do I know a lot about DJ's equipment? Again, nope. But as far as M-Audio's Torq Xponent DJ system is concerned, all I can say is it is one pretty device, if nothing else. I mean just look at it. All those dials and switches make one cool-looking device.

Well jokes apart, Torq Xponent promises to deliver featurewise too. It is compatible with both, PC and Mac, and enables a user to create his own mixes without too much of a hassle. After all, 76 different buttons can't be wrong. My favorites are the two scratch wheels that dominate the system. It even has LED volume and progress displays to track the track's progress.

Torq Xponent claims to be a 'complete DJ package' and comes fully loaded with accompanying software package. It supports multiple formats like MP3, WAV, WMA and AAC, so you can mix and match to all your heart's content. It is capable of being integrated with iTunes software as well. The on-board touch pad means that you can use this device without ever touching your computer.

M-Audio claims:

Torq Xponent bridges the gap between traditional DJ hardware and today's powerful performance software once and for all.

I think it is meant only for pro DJs. A $750 price tag testifies this. Ouch, that hurts. Another gadget out of my wallet's range.
