LyngBox is a sole set-top box of its own kind for those who want to take the taste of automatical set-up. The LyngBox abridges the TV watching experience by automatically installing all receivable channels. It’s a collaboration between the European Space Agency and LyngSat Network.
This built-in hard disk drive HDTV receiver is a twofold DVB-S2/DVB-T tuner. Its most impressive quality is, it can update itself by using an internet connection, to install and update all available channels together with free-to-air channels through the authoritative LyngSat website. In addition, it allows you to run off an external DVD player to the LyngBox and160GB drive to change it into a digital video recorder as well.
The LyngBox will descend into the arena at the IBC show in Amsterdam starting from September 8th; price details are not available so far.
