Lowsphere mod: Spherical boundaries around electronics

Posted By: Madan Lal | Dec 17 2007

Great ideas like this lowsphere mod can flash from anywhere, even looking at objects around. The maker here, went a step ahead and put that single flash into material. It's unique, but not at all an expensive one. Angular polyhedral or low polygonal spheres and 3DMax and some manual converting in CorelDraw, make the first step.

Two halves include supporting plate, whereas motherboard stands stiff on middle supporting plate, which holds power unit and hard disks under it. Airflow explores its way in the bottom part of motherboard and leaves via top to video card. Over all the designed required 88 cheap hinges, about 400 rivets, 4 cap locks, 8 hinges for glass cases.

Everything followed by final assembly of parts into a single spherical design, resulted in a mod, which is an obvious piece of genius. Get some fine pictures in the gallery below and start looking for ideas from anything observable around you, but don't approach for orthodox means.
